Like the music it represents, the geometrical design of this building (1995, IM Pei) is bold and energetic. A focal point of Cleveland's renewed waterfront, it encompasses seven levels of exhibitions, ranging from the roots of rock and roll to the region's music scene. In the drum-shaped wing, the museum (level 3) honours more than 749 rock legends with a multimedia production that incorporates music, film excerpts and taped interviews.
