The University of Chicago ("U of C") is an internationally renowned research and education centre. Its students live on a unique 85ha/210-acre site in the Hyde Park neighbourhood, 13km/8.5mi south of the loop. Its buildings were created in the English Gothic style found in Oxford, while Olmsted's landscape designs for the World Exhibition of 1893 provided a green backdrop for this future intellectual hotbed. The university also encompasses two major museums plus the Robie House by Frank Lloyd Wright.
