Built in 1923 by Holabird & Roche, this was at that time the city's tallest building, and remains to date the tallest church spire in the world (173m). The First United Methodist Church occupies the vast, English Gothic-style ground floor, as well as the sky chapel, which was added to the steeple in the 1950s. Only 65m2, this magnificent chapel features lovely stained-glass windows and carvings on the oak-panelled walls.
