Founded shortly before our era, the ancient town of Cassinomagus prospered for five centuries. Located on the Via Agrippa, it was, in particular, the site of the largest thermal baths in Gaul. The town, which covered 300ha, has been undergoing excavation since the 19C, prompting the county council to revamp the site and open it to the public. The result is spectacular: high-quality guided tours, a regularly changing programme and a very tempting shop-visitor centre.
