Built at the end of Louis XIV's reign, the Château de Champs is a perfect example of the architecture and decor of the 18C. Illustrious characters who stayed here have included the likes of Madame de Pompadour. The interior has preserved some superb wood panelling, furniture and decoration, including the sumptuous Chinese Room and the upholstered armchairs featuring scenes from the Fables of Jean de la Fontaine.
