The former Collégiale de Champeaux was founded in the 12C by William of Champeaux, theologian and teacher, and later Peter Abélard's adversary. In the church's light and elegant nave, you will notice the stalls (1522) with their misericords that were almost banished in the 18C because of their comical carvings. In the chancel, which has a flat chevet, there are a few large 13C and 14C sculpted tombstones of exceptional quality. A sacred art festival is held here every June.
