This street lined in stately homes was formerly the most aristocratic street in Chambery. In the courtyard of the Castagneri-de-Châteauneuf mansion (N°18), built in the 17 C by a master of ironwork, admire the remarkable railings. Napoleon, then Pius VII stayed in the Marches and Bellegarde mansion (N°19), whose facade (1788) and staircase are worthy of note. Admire the fine ironwork of the Roche mansion's balcony at N°143.
