Opis

The 2km-long Avenida Circuito Baluartes follows the course of the old fortifications and offers the opportunity to visit, by the sea, the town's most interesting bastions: Baluarte de San Carlos, which houses the City Museum, offers a pretty view over the water; the Baluarte de la Soledad exhibits sculptures from several archaeological sites in the region; and the Baluarte de Santiago has become a pleasant botanical garden, where the famous palo de tinte (Campeche bloodwood tree grows.
