Stretching from the marina to the mouth of the Figarella, this 4km-long forest of maritime pines and mulberry and eucalyptus trees was created at the end of the 19C to ensure the upkeep of the dunes and dry up the marshlands. It is now home to tourism and recreational facilities. The Calvi-Ponte-Leccia railway skirts the forest and Balagne tramway stops at several beaches between Calvi and Île-Rousse.
