Monte Cinto (2 706m) is known as the "roof of Corsica". Only highly experienced climbers should attempt the ascent. The path takes you through the glacial cirque formed by Monte Falo and Monte Cinto. After the Erco mountain refuge (1 667m), the path goes up through the passage formed by the Biccarellu corridor and an isolated rocky head known as Petra Fisculina on the left. From the summit, the panoramic view takes in all of Corsica and extends as far as the Alpes-Maritimes and the islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
