Standing in the Soubirous neighbourhood, the highest point in the town (the name derives from the Latin superioribus), the Église St Barthélemy was built in several phases. It has a fine rectangular-layout porch-bell tower built almost entirely out of brick and a 15C diagonally rib-vaulted nave. In the chapel, a plaque reads that Jacques Duèze, future Pope John XXII, was baptised in this church.
