Currently undergoing major restoration work, the church of St Pierre, built in the 13C to the 16C, is striking for its lavish ornamentation, particularly that of the east side (1545). The interior is rich in beautifully crafted details: the capitals with astonishing sculptures, the exuberant Late Gothic frieze and the chapel vaults and their immense hanging keystones. Its "King of Norman clock towers" was rebuilt after 1944.
