This modern establishment, which looks out of place in this listed area, was built on the site of a former convent. On the wall of the old church's St Nicolas tower, note the bas-relief of King Matthias Corvinus, thought to be the only true portrait to have survived of the king: he sits on a throne with a sceptre in his hand, and two angels holding his crown. From the hotel lobby, you can access the remains of the nave (view of the Parliament) and the cloister.
