This narrow street was built by the coffee merchant Roselius (1923-33). Its architecture was inspired by the local style, as well as Expressionism, Jugendstil and Art Deco. It is home to art galleries, museums and shops. Haus Atlantis (1931) at no 2, a building decorated with the signs of the zodiac, has an eye-catching winding staircase made from glass and concrete. St-Martini-Kirche, a hall church (13C and 14C), stands not far away, beyond Martinistraße, on the banks of the Weser.
