Although the origins of the Château de Bridoire, once owned by the lords of Bergerac, go back to the 12C, its current appearance dates from the 15C to 17C, when two large round towers with machicolations were added, then its central pavilion with a ceremonial staircase. The castle lay abandoned for years, but has now been restored to its former glory. It comes to life every summer during the Nuits de Bridoire, when various shows and performances are held here. Note the traditional games set up in the courtyard and public rooms.
