Founded in 1977, this museum is dedicated to preserving the heritage of over 2 000 years of Jewish history in Greece. The interior of the Romaniote synagogue of Patras (19C), closed by the Nazis, has been reconstructed thanks to items brought here when the community was dispersed, while documents on display show the locations of Jewish communities in the Roman and Byzantine empires, and the routes taken by Jews expelled from the Iberian peninsula in the 15C.
