The ruins of the Acrocorinth (Corinth Acropolis) are among the most impressive in the world, in terms of their size, the desolate grandeur of the site on which they stand, and the broad panoramic views they command. The access ramp from the parking area to the fortress has spectacular views of its three lines of defence and the three monumental gates. Inside the fortress, there is a vast 24ha plateau where the disparate ruins of numerous buildings are scattered about.
