Ardress House is an austere 17C manor house that was extended and embellished by the architect, George Ensor, in the 18C. The elegant house has a farmyard framed by traditional outbuildings, as well as a well-populated chicken run. Inside, the decoration remains intact and includes some fine original Chippendale furnishings. Note the finesse of the plasterwork in the drawing room and the splendid Irish crystals.
