This fort, built by the British at the end of the 18C after they had abandoned Detroit to the Americans, overlooks the sea. Some ramparts remain, now grass-covered, and one of the barracks has been restored to its 1819 state. In the visitor centre, a video explains the fort's role in the War of 1812 and the Rebellions of 1837. You will also see an example of Mackenzie's rebel flag.
