The Augustinian abbey, which owned the entire valley, extended a strong and far-reaching influence on the Northern Alps in the Middle Ages. In the cloister, note the splendid frescoes attributed to the workshop of the Piedmontese artist Giacomo Jacquerio. In the church, dating from the late 13C and partly rebuilt in 1900, look out for the 15C abbey See. Finally, visit the exhibition devoted to the sacred heritage of the Val d'Abondance, particularly rich in liturgical ornaments and holy books.
