Originally dating from the 13C, the cathedral was completely remodelled in the 15C in the Gothic style. There are also more recent additions, such as the early-20C spire. At 93m, the nave is the longest in Denmark and the harmony of its proportions is remarkable. See the splendid frescoes (1470-1520), together with a magnificent triptych, produced in 1479 by Bernt Notke (1440-1509), an artist from Lübeck.
