This 15C building is thought to be the oldest of its kind in the Low Countries. It was extensively restored after a fire in the 19C and retains 13C façades on the right-hand side and at the rear (with a crow-stepped gable and trefoil arcades). The main façade is embellished by a 16C oriel to the right. The 15C belfry bears the town motto "neither by hope nor fear".
